clouded, breezy, desert afternoon

These are my felted cat hair beads made from 100% cat fur, grown by my cat, Puma. To do the felting, I used a good tutorial on Crafster to help me. I first dyed the fur with kool-aid and I found full instructions on dying, including a kool-aid color key at knitty.com. I started with a lot of fur, but it was only enough for a handful of beads, so I’m back to harvesting again. It took me all last summer to get enough hair for 13 beads, so hopefully I’ll have a finished product in like a year.
Also, it was a lovely day in Tucson today, so Andrea and I went to the zoo.
